ICK Dans Amsterdam is a leading platform for contemporary dance, founded by choreographers Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten. As the resident company of the Meervaart theatre, ICK create high-profile international dance performances with both its own dance ensemble and a junior company (ICK-Next). ICK also supports the development of young talent and offers space for research and educational projects. ICK is located in the Space for Dance Art, where various cultural activities take place.
ICK Dans Amsterdam supports talented artists through Space for Dance Art and ICK Artist Studio by providing space and sharing knowledge and expertise.
The ICK Academy reflects on and explores, in collaboration with artists, scientists and companies from around the world, the role that art – and dance in particular – can play in addressing the major challenges of our time. Within ICK, a great deal of knowledge is constantly being gathered about creative processes, innovation and transformation.
