Past, Present & Future at the 8th ICK Fest

On 28 March, ICK Dans Amsterdam brings its annual ICK Fest to Meervaart for the 8th time.

As always, there is plenty of dance to admire, but we also invite you to wonder and reflect. What is the power of pure dance in times of uncertainty and growing (international) tensions?

With a thought-provoking, full-evening program, we skim across past and present: across contrasts between cultures, boundaries between disciplines, and questions of what we call “classical” and which elements of it are worth carrying into the future. You can rediscover a brand-new version of BOLERO, now with a full cast pushing back against Ravel, and we land between the Maghreb and Europe with the boundary-crossing F.A.S.L. فاصل

You will also meet new makers: This time, we give space to collective MAMM for the space they cannot find: a home! Like true Houdinis, they squeeze themselves into spaces that are too small and ask the question: what makes a home?
