L.A.V.A. is an intensely physical and sonic journey through a landscape of tension, friction and subterranean flow. Two leading voices in European dance, Amsterdam-based Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten and Roberto Zappalà from Catania, Sicily, bring their choreographic worlds together in an international co-production charged with contrast and force. Neither a double bill nor a fusion, but a confrontation — a field of tension in which difference gives rise to new movement.
Following an electrifying site-specific version in Pompeii, at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, and its world premiere at Julidans 2026, L.A.V.A. will tour the Netherlands and Italy this autumn.
