Ainhoa Hernández Escudero is a multidisciplinary artist, cultural worker, and drag artist from Carabanchel, Madrid, currently based in Amsterdam. Her practice braids together dance, theatre, drag, pop culture, immersive sound, and new technologies—including AI and robotics. She works with mythology, queerness, and magic as speculative tools for worldbuilding, reimagining belonging while unsettling and grieving inherited structures.

Trained in theatre, dance, circus, and philosophy, and holding MAs from the Reina Sofía Museum and DAS Theatre, she approaches performance as a site where knowledge, embodiment, and speculation converge. Her work is currently supported by SPRING Festival and has been presented internationally at venues and festivals including SPRING Festival (Utrecht), Grec Festival (Barcelona), SPIT Festival / Tanz Quartier (Vienna), Frascati (Amsterdam), Bâtard Festival (Brussels), MNCARS (Madrid), La Capella, Gessnerallee (Zurich), Center for Performance Research (NY), Arqueologías del Futuro (Argentina), Museo del Chopo (Mexico), Antic Teatre (Barcelona), La Caldera (Barcelona), La Casa Encendida (Madrid), and CA2M (Madrid). Her recognitions include the 3Package Deal in Dance (2022), the Young Art Support Amsterdam Prize, and the Erik Impuls Award.

She is also a member of House of Lostbøis, the first drag king house in the Netherlands and winners of Superball 2023.
