— Children of Zeus as Living Exhibition by Robbeduz and Valentina Gal

Robin Nimanong (they/them, 1995, NL/TH) creates performances at the intersection of dance, movement and media. Robin’s performances are made for and by the queer community, with themes as identity, self-care and activism. During the 2022 New Adventures residency in 2022 at ICK, Robin further developed their performance Cyborg DNA, a futuristic performance installation, from evolution to transhumanism.

In 2017, Robin graduated from the Modern Theater Dance program in Amsterdam. Post-gradiation they danced with a.o. Batsheva, Marina Abramovic and Nicole Beutler and made their own performances and dance films, including Bodyscan 223 and Aphrodisiac II (winner of ‘The Next Best Fringe Award 2020’). Robin is the winner of the ‘Anne Faber Stipendium 2022’ and is currently developing further both as an entrepeneurand artistically through their non-binary vision. Bodyscan 223 and Cyborg DNA were performed in theaters, museums, and at festivals. Robin’s new dance performance, Project Fools, a playful journey through queer liberation and gender fluidity, premiered on April 25, 2025, at the Maaspodium in Rotterdam.

More current work was Children of Zeus, a performance as a Living Exhibition, a collaboration with visual artist Valentina Gal. This work in progress started in February 2025 with a residency at Het Huis, Conny Janssen, and later at ICK Dans Amsterdam. The project had several work-in-progress sharings during 2025.
