Let’s dance!
During Everybody Dance Now, Amare is all about social dance, live music, and international dance culture. Not just one venue, not just one style, not just one way to participate: the entire building becomes part of the festival. From foyers to studios and from the dance floor to the Dance Theater, you’ll discover workshops, performances, live acts, and encounters with dancers, creators, and communities.

From lindy hop, salsa, tango, bachata, and forró to hip-hop, house, funk, disco, groove, and rave: everything is on the menu. You can join in, watch, learn, let loose, or simply follow where the music takes you. Two left feet? No worries! This festival is for anyone who wants to experience dance: from curious beginners to seasoned dancers, from stage enthusiasts to night owls.

Featuring work by Rambert, ICK Amsterdam, The Ruggeds & Ghetto Funk Collective, ARK/Connor Schumacher, and others, Everybody Dance Now takes you on a journey through club culture, stage dance, and social dance. One festival ticket grants access to the entire program: come for the performances, stay for the live music, join a workshop, and end up right in the middle of the dance floor.

HELL is a work by Emio Greco | Pieter C. Scholten from 2006. It was originally part of a trilogy inspired by Dante’s Divina Commedia.
For the International Social Dance Festival Everybody Dance Now on 21 November, you can see the prologue at Amare, The Hague. Amare specifically asked ICK for material that swings, moves and physically engages the audience.
At ICK, repertoire is not a static archive. It is passed on, re-embodied and viewed from a different time and context.
