PRIDEHUB x SfDA

ICK's Space for Dance Art is proud to host the Pridehub in Amsterdam Nieuw-West, as part of WorldPride Amsterdam 2026.

WorldPride is a global event that promotes the visibility and awareness of LGBTQIA+ themes internationally. As a dynamic hub for dance and performance, ICK’s Space for Dance Art opens its doors for a multifaceted and rich program, entirely centered on diversity, inclusion, and expression. Throughout the Pride period, this venue serves as a meeting place where art, community, and dialogue come together. Visitors can expect a varied offering of performances, workshops, talks, and other cultural activities that invite reflection, celebration, and connection. ICK’s Space for Dance Art welcomes a broad audience – residents, visitors, and anyone who wants to experience the power of art and pride in an inspiring and accessible setting.

Program

Exhibition Robbin Veldman – The Pretending
Tuesday, July 7 – Friday, August 7
Times: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (July 10, 11 & 29: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM)
Closed on July 12, 18, 25, 26 & 19 – August 1 & 2

During Pride Amsterdam, ICK’s Space for Dance Art presents the oil portraits of Robbin Veldman, in which AI and painting merge to create fabricated, masked characters that blur the boundary between authenticity and construction.

KALEIDO: The Audition
Friday, July 10
Start: 7:30 PM

With a blend of theater and performance, the Kaleido collective delivers a playful, hilarious, and connecting critique of performance pressure and audition culture, in which the audience itself uncomfortably becomes part of the selection process.

Language: Dutch.
Free register required via the link in the calendar below.

ICK x Pride
Saturday, July 11

Thais Di Marco (they/them), a queer director in the performing arts, multidisciplinary artist, and descendant of the Roma, and Lucinda Wessels, dancer, choreographer, and DJ, participate as ICK guest artists in this special program of ICK x Pride; further information will follow.

Exhibition Jameyne Tol – She said Mi Djaso
Monday, July 13 – Friday, July 17
Times: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Jameyne Tol, a recent graduate of AMFI, translates his quest for his Surinamese roots and queer identity into a clothing collection in which the historic koto – once a symbol of oppression, later of resistance and pride – is reinvented into a growing, voluminous silhouette that claims space and celebrates femininity as a powerful celebration of visibility, freedom, and self-expression.
