In Shameless, dancer Victor Callens, who has collaborated with Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten (EGPC) since he was 17, explores the mobility of dance identities he carries within himself as a performer and the knowledge stored in his body from classical ballet, to the EGPC repertoire, and clip-dance. He shamelessly draws from his dance archive, blushing as he continues his journey into the future.
An exciting “back to the future” that fully reveals the richness of EGPC’s dance language.
A younger Victor speaks to us through projections, offering insight into the mind of a dancer. His vulnerability clashes with his powerful stage presence. A hero ready to take on any obstacle in his path to success: generous, unfiltered, shameless. Is the audience an ally or an enemy in this battle?

At the age of 13, Victor Callens began studying at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where he graduated in 2006. In 2007, he joined the dance ensemble of ICK. In 2011, Victor was nominated for the VSCD Zwaan for “Most Impressive Dance Performance” for his role in you PARA | DISO. Between 2014 and 2017, he danced with the Ballet National de Marseille. Since 2019, he has been part of the ICK Company again as a dancer and rehearsal director.
During rehearsals, Victor was challenged to write a shameless manifesto.

1. Who I am is Vulnerable – naked, transparent, real, therefore beautiful,
simply because I dance so.
2. Who I am is Courageous – audacious and always on the edge,
simply because I dance so.
3. Who I am is Love – for myself, for you, the way we are and the way we are not,
simply because I dance so.
4. Who I am is Responsible – for the impact my existence has on the world,
simply because I dance so.
5. Who I am is a Leader – that touches, inspires, and literally moves you (into action),
simply because I dance so.
6. Who I am is Present – nowhere else but here, right now, connected to you,
simply because I dance so.
7. Who I am is Free – I no longer put the past, my past, into the future, my future,
simply because I dance so.
