A monochromatic light instrument, played by collective presence.

This is White Space: a fascinating interactive installation that transforms negative space into a place of encounter where strangers connect.

The light installation was created by artist Matthias Oostrik, who is also responsible for the concept, software, and production. Developed under the umbrella of the Harmonic Dissonance Collective, it premieres during Amsterdam Dance Event – Arts & Culture 2026, in collaboration with ICK Dans Amsterdam. The sound, developed with composer Marcel Wierckx, draws on electronic dance music and generative composition, placing the work at the intersection of light art, club culture, and participatory performance.
