A choreography of breath and overwhelm. A physical war of exhaustion that slows, sharpens, and breaks open. Six bodies move in a rhythm of breath, sound, and pulse. The space vibrates with driving beats, amplified breathing, and sudden silences. Neon structures suggest machines, windmills, and countdown clocks.
Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” propels the performance forward. Not nostalgic, but electronically charged—repeated, distorted, dissected. A pulsating line that sets the body in motion again and again. Eminem’s “Without Me” breaks it open—rhythmic, sharp, disarming. The breath pulsates between control and surrender. No story. No direction. Only intensity and relief. Performers and audience share the same breath, the same space, the same charged silence, the same increasing urge for explosive movement.
WE, the BREATH (Milan Oltre, 2023) is the premiere of the WE-CYCLE. This performance preceded WE, the EYES (Ravenna Festival, 2023) and NOUS, le RADEAU / WE, the LUST (Philharmonie de Paris, 2024). Together, they take the power and vulnerability of the intuitive body as their guiding principle and stimulus.
The performers carry the choreography with impressive precision and almost inexhaustible energy.
